Our very best Syrah and Petit Verdot make up the blend of ILEX, an eleganT, smooth and structured cuvée with a fresh acidity and velvety tannins.
After a manual harvest and a traditional vinification, the wine is matured during twelve to eighteen months in old barrels in order to make the best of this creative yet elegant blend between these two grape varieties - one originally from the Cévennes and the other from Bordeaux.
"A unique blend of Syrah and Petit Verdot , aged in barrel, the 2016 IGP Cevennes Ilex offers up aromas of violets, purple raspberries and dusty earth.
It's medium to full-bodied and already quite drinkable, with gentle, fine-grained tannins on the lingering finish."
